This page covers the Lilium bathroom, a gold-plated design named after the lily, and the classic Opera bathroom furniture by Francesco Pasi in the current range. The gallery shows the Lilium round cabinet in briarwood with a marble top; the grid above lists pieces you can specify.
What does the Lilium gallery show?
The photographs show a round bath cabinet in briarwood with a marble top, an inset wash-basin and gold-plated taps. A mirror with lights completes the composition.
Lilium takes its name from the lily, described by its makers as the purest flower, and relies on gold plating and one curved volume rather than on carving.
Which current pieces give a similar gilded look?
Francesco Pasi's Opera range reaches a similar gilded effect with gold leaf decoration and hand-finished carving. The Opera Shaped Mirror carries that leaf and measures H 156 x W 125 cm.
Below it, the Opera Double Bathroom Cabinet gives 185 cm of width, while the Opera Single Bathroom Chest of Drawers keeps the same 86 cm height in 140 cm. Matching cabinets for other rooms appear in our luxury interior furniture.
How do you join a classic bathroom to modern rooms?
Keep the carving inside the bathroom and let the adjoining rooms run simpler. A pale Opera finish such as 100 Gloss White or Ivory bridges the two styles. Repeat that tone on walls or textiles next door so the change of style looks planned.
Contemporary pieces such as our modern italian chairs can then carry the rest of the home.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which finishes does the Opera Shaped Mirror come in?
Luxury White, Cream, Hazelnut or Retro Walnut, or 100 Gloss Ebony, Ivory, Taupe or White. Its carving is finished by hand and decorated with gold or silver leaf.
How thick are the cabinet doors?
Doors and drawers on the Opera bathroom cabinet and chest are solid wood, 28 mm thick. The top is cherry blockboard, 29 mm.
Can a classic cabinet work in an otherwise modern home?
Yes, if the finish is restrained. A 100 Gloss White or Ivory Opera cabinet keeps the carving but sits calmly next to plainer rooms.
