This page covers the classic white bedroom associated with Avenanti, built on wooden upholstered beds and refined bedside pieces, and the Francesco Pasi furniture that gives a similar light result today. White is the colour designers favour for a bright, open bedroom.
Why choose white for a classic bedroom?
White keeps carving visible and makes a bedroom feel larger and brighter. In a white room, wood grain and gilding become the accents, so every carved line counts. The Avenanti collections were offered as complete white bedrooms, with upholstered wooden beds, bedside tables and dressing cabinets.
Which white finishes are available now?
The Opera range by Francesco Pasi offers Luxury White and Cream, plus 100 Gloss White and Ivory. The Opera Bed 3071 takes these finishes on a solid wood structure 80 mm thick, with an upholstered headboard.
The Opera Shaped Chest of Drawers, 3 Drawers, at H 106 x W 146.5 x D 61 cm, matches it and adds gold or silver leaf with hand-finished carving. Keep one white across every piece, since Luxury White beside 100 Gloss White reads as two different surfaces. Compare further italian bedroom furniture for the same room.
What goes at the foot of the bed?
A bench at the foot of the bed gives a place to sit and to lay out clothes. The New Deco Bench in Leather by Francesco Pasi has a solid cherry frame, finished in cherry, lacquer or Luxury.
Choose a leather tone close to the headboard upholstery so the two read as one group. Carved and solid pieces for other rooms are in our classic italian wood furniture.
